New Release of “Aladuck 405”, Bicolor LED Medical Light Source

A highly versatile medical light source that equipping bicolor (blue and white) LED with high power (twice stronger light intensity compared to our current model) and able to select various irradiation mode by a control panel.

  SBI Pharmaceuticals. Co., Ltd. (Principal place of business: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Yoshitaka Kitao, hereinafter “SBIP”), subsidiary company of SBI Holdings, Inc. is a company researching and developing pharmaceuticals, supplements, cosmetics and medical devices utilizing 5-aminolevulinic acid (*). We would like to announce that SBIP has released a new product today, “Aladuck 405”, a medical light source device.  

 Aladuck 405 is a medical light source device that can be used in various surgery situations, such as using it by connecting to rigid endoscope and irradiating light to wide area by using lightguide cable. Aladuck 405 has twice intensity as the current model, “Bicolor LED Light Source Aladuck LS-DLED”, and its operability is also improved. Today, it is general to use white light during surgery that is close to the natural light. However, Aladuck 405 has a function to mix blue light into the white light, and it makes able to expand usage of the light source. SBIP will continue research and develop to contribute health and enriched life of people.

It is an important substance that serves as a functional molecule related to energy production in the form of heme and cytochromes, and its productivity is known to decrease with age. 5-ALA is contained in food such as shochu lees, red wine and Asian ginseng. It is also known as a material forming chloroplasts in plants.
