We  are  pleased   to  inform  you  that  SBI  Pharmaceuticals   Co.,  Ltd.  (Head   office:  Minato-ku,   Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Yoshitaka Kitao; “SBI Pharmaceuticals”), a subsidiary of SBI Holdings, Inc., engaged in research and development of pharmaceuticals, health foods and cosmetics using 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) (*), announces that it has obtained a business license for selling and renting highly controlled medical devices from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

Having received this business license for selling and renting highly controlled medical devices, SBI Pharmaceuticals can sell and rent highly controlled medical devices, controlled medical devices, and general medical devices classified as controlled medical devices requiring special maintenance.

Given this authorization on top of the licenses it already holds for manufacturing and sales of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, SBI Pharmaceuticals is in a position to more aggressively pursue its business activities in the fields of medicine and healthcare.

We will continue to strive toward providing pharmaceutical products as well as enhanced services with medical devices.
